SELECTIONS FROM "BABIES"
After the opening number "To Be Born", in which all the Babies make their grand entrance, Everett sings about being a "Blank Sheet of Paper". Being 'all brand new', he (like all the others) is ready for input!
This song segues into "Here's A Little Something". These songs are separate tracks. We suggest downloading them both at the same time so that they play as they do in the show.
We never see the Parents, but in this number, we hear them as they proudly toss toys and cute clothing to their Babies in the Nursery. The Parents also announce their plans for their new-borns. Maybe the Babies aren't quite the 'blank sheet of paper' that they thought!
Little Jenny Lee tells the heart-wrenching story of how she came to be and how she has been orphaned. (Don't tell anyone, but near the end of BABIES Jenny Lee is adopted.)

This is the Babies' Anthem, as they contemplate how they will be received when they go home to their families. A touching, soaring song, a pop version of it rose to number 5 on the RPM charts.
Jenny Lee, orphaned shortly after birth, is finally adopted, in BABIES.
